Murder in an abortion clinic

People in the pro-life world would look at that reference and find it completely redundant.

At conception, it is a human being that’s conceived. To terminate that human being at any stage on the continuum of his or her life is killing. Every killing of an innocent and vulnerable human being is a crime against humanity.

But since abortions happen in the ‘clinics’ set up by that industry, and in the womb of the mother, usually only the staff there sees the grisly results. The public has been trained to think of it as ‘a choice’.

Nobody in their right mind would choose this.

Eighteen and pregnant, Sycloria Williams went to an abortion clinic outside Miami and paid $1,200 for Dr. Pierre Jean-Jacque Renelique to terminate her 23-week pregnancy.

Three days later, she sat in a reclining chair, medicated to dilate her cervix and otherwise get her ready for the procedure.

Only Renelique didn’t arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic’s owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant’s umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

Police recovered the decomposing remains in a cardboard box a week later after getting anonymous tips.

“I don’t care what your politics are, what your morals are, this should not be happening in our community,” said Tom Pennekamp, a Miami attorney representing Williams in her lawsuit against Renelique and the clinic owners.

This is beyond outrageous.

“The baby was just treated as a piece of garbage,” said Tom Brejcha, president of The Thomas More Society, a law firm that is also representing Williams. “People all over the country are just aghast.”…

The complaint says one of the clinic owners, Belkis Gonzalez came in and cut the umbilical cord with scissors, then placed the baby in a plastic bag, and the bag in a trash can.

Williams’ lawsuit offers a cruder account: She says Gonzalez knocked the baby off the recliner chair where she had given birth, onto the floor. The baby’s umbilical cord was not clamped, allowing her to bleed out. Gonzalez scooped the baby, placenta and afterbirth into a red plastic biohazard bag and threw it out.

This is mind-numbing. Although, it’s only been through numbing minds to the truth that abortion has thrived this long.

This is mind-numbing to everyone who understands the truth about human life from conception. And this little baby girl was 23 weeks along in her life development.

At 23 weeks, an otherwise healthy fetus would have a slim but legitimate chance of survival. Quadruplets born at 23 weeks last year at The Nebraska Medical Center survived.

An autopsy determined Williams’ baby – she named her Shanice – had filled her lungs with air, meaning she had been born alive, according to the Department of Health.

This is a baby former Senator Barack Obama would not provide with rights or protection, since he voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. A baby doesn’t get rights until he or she is fully born, under such beliefs. Well this baby was fully born.

And her mother saw her.

“She came face to face with a human being,” Pennekamp said. “And that changed everything.”

Which is why the abortion movement fights so hard to prevent any laws requiring ultrasound be provided to women considering abortion.

Fr. Frank Pavone, President of Priests for Life, frequently says “America will not reject abortion until America sees abortion.” Just the description of what happened in this infanticide in Miami is a horrible mental picture. Seen enough?

  • Could it be any clearer, or more horrifying, what abortion really is? An abortion… or a live born baby with tube cut and left to bleed to death, swept into the trash –both kill the child, as scheduled. It’s clear that the abortion clinic staff made no distinction between the two ways of killing. It’s revealing, and chilling, how the staff member could toss away the newborn without any thought or concern, once she had become so used to murdering a child through abortion.

  • “Nobody in their right mind would choose this.”

Leo Dicaprio says almost this exact line in the movie Revolutionary Road, when the topic of an illegal abortion comes up between him and his wife. It is so important people are informed of the horror abortion is, even after Roe v. Wade. For too many women, I fear they don’t learn until it too late. It’s not painless and easy and its not always safer than before. Definitely not for the child, but not for the woman either.

  • I just want to cry when I hear these things. My mother’s heart just breaks for that baby. Fr. Pavone is right–when you let this situation into your imagination, you think like a human being. You can forget the politics and think only of a sweet, helpless baby left to die, cold and alone, in a BAG. That poor, crying, hungry little thing, just yearning for her mother–Shanice was sent into this world to be LOVED.
