Okay, one of the offensive Edwards bloggers is gone from the campaign.

She resigned, which means John Edwards still had not fired her after her bigoted and obscene anti-Catholic comments were made public.

Until this evening, nearly all reporting on the story said that the other blogger on Edwards staff who took part in the foul attack is still there.

One blog out there is saying McEwan has finally resigned also. Whether she has or not, the question remains why John Edwards was so willing to keep messengers like this on his staff to communicate his ideas. And whether some strain of that message remains.
