Are you Lost?

After last night’s episode of ‘Lost’ on ABC - a series I never looked at until Carl Olson and Barb Nicolosi were on my radio show, and my son Kristofer talked me into watching the first season on DVD – I looked for some clues to what’s happening in this craziness on Amy Welborn’s blog, because she always has good dialogue going on by people who are far more clued in than I am.

Amy totally spoke for me today, and I imagine that link intrigues a whole lot of fans out there.

My brain hurts, too, Amy. Have you noticed how many of these stories have an important father connection? I got that last year from Carl, but it has only continued and deepenend….though so has motherhood and life.

  • Sheila: Don’t feel bad—even people who watch every episode of LOST three times and read endless posts and articles about the show don’t really know what’s going on. That is either the genius or the chaos of the show. But, for my money, it continues to be the best hour of television drama around. And this season, if anything, has been better than ever. But don’t ask me what’s happening; I’m as lost as everyone else!

  • Carl: Fully agree with everything. I think it’s both genius and chaos. It’s confounding, but in a provocative way. While we’re trying to figure out the relationships and behaviors and decisions and meaning of it all, we’re learning more about ourselves and our perceptions, I think. Or maybe I’m thinking too much…another lingering effect of watching LOST. It’s nice to know we’re all in this together. Sort of like the folks on the island…(uh oh, another metaphor).
