Beautiful
That’s the translation of “Bella.”
I touched on it yesterday, but there’s so much more to this film. Just look at the story of the main actor, Eduardo Verastegui – and turn on your volume.
Eduardo sent out an email yesterday, in anticipation of the film’s release this week. Here’s part of it:
I want you to know how grateful I am, and I hope when it comes out in theatres this Friday, you can sit in that chair, watch it on the big screen and know you were part of a miracle in action. It is a beautiful film that to me was created by something bigger then us all, and I will never forget all of the passion, support and life this film has inspired.
Amazing things have already happened to people as a result of seeing or being involved with this movie. I know of at least one life that was saved, many transformed. And that’s only in the early premiere stage…
When Barb Nicolosi was on my radio show each Friday doing movie reviews and discussing the entertainment culture, she emphasized the importance of opening weekend for any great film. The moviegoing public has not idea the power of the box office of that first weekend, followed by the next week, to determine the entire future life and distribution of the film, including the marketing and DVD production plans.
That’s all business, and this is about life. But they come together seamlessly when we support beautiful art that conveys the intense message that the power of love overcomes conflict and crisis, any crisis.
“Bella” does that. Beautifully.
