Bishops convene

The USCCB conference opened today, which is always interesting to follow. I enjoyed covering it in Chicago last year, watching and listening up close, even during their break times. It was revealing to see and hear the Successors of the Apostles in that setting.

Someone who’s always at bishops’ conferences, Helen Hitchcock, has a preview at the Adoremus website. I think Helen has attended and thoroughly covered more bishops’ conferences than many bishops. Seriously.

Amy has the opening today covered extensively, and I feel like I was there after reading her post.

This will be interesting to follow, especially as the bishops discuss out how to address the culture clash over homosexuality and contraception, and the Church’s teaching.
