Catholic. Clearly.
I picked up a few things at the bookstore today as quick and handy resources to have at the ready on some dense and difficult topics I need to understand better. For now, short-form and direct answers in clear language fulfill the need to have more than a passing knowledge of these subjects. So…..I got three tri-fold, laminated ‘quick answer guides’ for three different disciplines. Perfect. I chose them because they packed a lot of information and answers into an easily-digestible and brief form.
A little while later, I picked up something Msgr. Dempsey gave me earlier today, something my friend Fr. Ray Cleaveland produced as a short Q&A resource to have at hand on the Catholic faith, called “Catholicism At a Glance.” I left it on the table until evening, and finally took a look at what it was. Flipping it open, I was startled by the virtual ‘sameness’ of what I’d just scoured the shelves of the bookstore to find. It was a laminated tri-fold set of answers to the tenets – the essence – of the Catholic faith. And, you know….it pretty much said it all, in brief, and gave references for everything it answered.
There it is. Answers with clarity.
People want and need accessibility. That’s why Tom Hall is seeing such huge success at his newly formed ‘Catholic YouTube’ site.
Good for them. And thanks to both.
