Look who’s cracking down on illegal immigrants

Mexico.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants have been deported from Mexico after they became stranded when a train route through the country was closed down.

Up to 7,000 people – mostly from Guatemala and Honduras – got stuck in southern Mexico when a rail link to the US ceased operating…

The authorities said that around 350 people had been deported so far.

More deportations are planned but some of those who were stranded began walking along the now disused railway to continue their journey.

The Mexican government could exert itself in other ways to take care of the homefront…so its own citizens don’t have to flee north in such great numbers to provide for their families…

Meanwhile, the U.S. Congress continues to talk about what to do, or argue and fight about what to do…..or shelve the whole issue and take summer break and try to figure out how to solve the problem of immigration based on the politics of a presidential election year.
