In Justice

Obama has already named a controversial Attorney General in Eric Holder, who is finally apologizing for his pardon of fugitive financier Marc Rich. And more recently he named Thomas Perrelli to a high post at Justice, the lawyer who represented Michael Schiavo in his battle to end the life of his wife Terri Schiavo and prevent her family from caring for her instead.

Now Obama names David Ogden as Deputy Attorney General. What do we know about him? He’s pro-abortion, and he denies the negative effects abortion has on women.

Millions of women deal with a multitude of problems following an abortion, ranging from medical issues to mental health consequences.

But, in legal papers filed during the consideration of a 1992 Supreme Court case, Ogen claimed women don’t deal with negative experiences resulting from an abortion.

Ogden wrote and filed an amicus brief on behalf of the American Psychological Association for the Supreme Court’s seminal decision in Casey v. Planned Parenthood.

In it, Ogden argued, “Abortion rarely causes or exacerbates psychological or emotional problems. When women do experience regret, depression, or guilt, such feelings are mild and diminish rapidly without adversely affecting general functioning.”

Stunning, this wishful thinking. Sheer denial in the face of abundant evidence to the contrary.

Look at the three studies cited there.

Dr. Priscilla Coleman, a professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Bowling Green State University, and her colleagues published a study in the Journal of Psychiatric Research showing an abortion-mental health link exists.

The research team found induced abortions result in increased risks for a myriad of mental health problems ranging from anxiety to depression to substance abuse disorders.

The number of cases of mental health issues rose by as much as 17 percent in women having abortions compared to those who didn’t have one and the risks of each particular mental health problem rose as much as 145% for post-abortive women.

I wrote about this two years ago, when the abortion movement and their media cohorts launched a new campaign to discredit crisis pregnancy centers and deny the truths of the post-abortion syndrome.

While (an informed consent bill) is held up in court, women are speaking up and speaking out themselves about the ravages of abortion, in the Silent No More campaign among many others.

We often hear abortion supporters say they don’t want any man to speak for womens’ ‘right to choose.’ But they’ll accept a delusional one if he’s speaking their talking points. Especially men in high places.

The Obama nominee appears to believe that childbirth is worse for women than an abortion.

The winner of an election is certainly able and allowed to advance their agenda and reward their ideological cronies. Just be very aware of what that is, and who they are. Obama is racking up more in Justice.
