Peace on earth. How do we begin?

With ourselves. It’s more than a nice sentiment or a greeting card wish.

Pope Benedict has adhered to the message that it’s got to start with the individual and can (emphasize can) spread to the world. Today is the World Day of Peace, and Benedict had this message for it….and the other 364 days to follow. Its focus is the family as a community of peace.

At the start of a new year, it feels like anything is possible. Benedict thinks this is possible, and I do, too.

Peace in the world begins with peace in your heart. I wish you true peace.
