What are the odds?

The other day, one of those optimistic University of Arizona Medical Center doctors gave Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords an unusually high survival chance.

Why unusual? Because 100 percent be perfect. But he went one better.

“She has a 101 percent chance of surviving,” said Dr. Peter Rhee, trauma chief at the University of Arizona Medical Center and a former combat surgeon who worked in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That struck me as hopeful and positive….resolutely so….but still just a tad odd.

And then I saw this.  Coincidence?
